Uncontrollable Passions | Mars enters Gemini, Mercury enters Aries, Sun enters Taurus

Uncontrollable Passions | Mars enters Gemini, Mercury enters Aries, Sun enters Taurus | Starcana Cosmic Dirt

We're greeted with an impressive Sun/Saturn trine on April 17. These vibrations can be quite useful in helping us to deal with superiors, as well as in taking on some of the tougher stuff - with much greater ease.

For those who come face to face with an unpleasant experience instead, you're also blessed. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the reality in which you've been building and living; but also in what may need to be changed and restructured. Whatever you recognize and receive, please aim for a little gratitude.

Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light. Albert Schweitzer

Sun enters TaurusThe Sun (identity, ego) will exit brave Aries on Wednesday April 19, to travel through determined Taurus for the next four weeks. The recent start of a fresh approach, a new adventurous journey or the beginning of a project will have much potential in gaining some stability and stature. While personal values are shifting again since Venus (values, love, money) stationed direct last week; but if we can continue to fully invest ourselves into this new creation – strength and endurance will be on our side.

How wrong it is for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself. Anais Nin

Pluto retrograde. Dark stormy energy begins to brew as Pluto (destruction, transformation) stations retrograde on Thursday April 20. What has been slowly decaying, could feel more unhealthy and toxic to our inner wellbeing during this five month cycle. Rather than terminate what has grown into unusable mold; we may instead, decide to slice it in many pieces first – obsessively examining its many complicated levels. And we’ll keep investigating, and we’ll keep digging. We’ll taste it. Roll it between our teeth. Swallow it. Digest it. And even regurgitate it a few times. Is what we’re holding onto disposable; or not? If we can better understand what makes it tick, we may be able to manipulate it into something useful again.

Forgiving does not erase the bitter past. A healed memory is not a deleted memory. Instead, forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to remember. We change the memory of our past into a hope for our future. Lewis B. Smedes

Mercury re-enters Aries. As seductive Pluto stations, trickster Mercury (thoughts, communications, small journeys) will re-enter fiery Aries again - the last time was back on March 13. With Mercury retrograde, there will be an opportunity to retrace our steps - in order to remember, review and reconnect with much improved communications. Yet in this fiery turf of warrior Aries again, we could re-ignite new truths and heated passions - or we agree to disagree, to avoid adding gasoline to the bridges we're already burning. Be mindful. Stay aware. Listen to what isn't being said.

Impatience is the mark of independence, not of bondage. Marianne Moore

Mars enters Gemini. Activity tends to get much more forced and distributed as Mars (drive, energy) moves from steady Taurus, into blustery Gemini. Change is bound to happen over this six week cycle, and without a good tight hold on the steering wheel - who knows where it may take us. Moving forward and gaining direction will not be easy, considering all the free space that we have to work with, especially under theses tumultuous winds as Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury are in retrograde.

We are no more than candles burning in the wind. Japanese Proverb

The scattered energy of Mercury retrograde has the ability to keep us scattered, in our continuous mistakes. As above, So below. It can be quite helpful to know when to move with the breeze.. but also when to heed the storm to take shelter. Unless you have an adventurous gypsy spirit like mine - where a few strong gushes of wind are uplifting; only to drop us off in 'god knows where' - can be such a delicious force of creative inspiration and energy. Hopefully you can enjoy the ride, with hands in the air, but be ready to dodge the flying debris. Starcana tarot insight: Clinging to the cage. QueenPentsRx/QueenSwordsRx
